An Africain Protestantism in the XIXth century. The establishment of the Methodism in Gold Coast (Ghana), on 1835-1874
By Ann Hugon, Paris, Karthala, on 2007
In what context and for which reasons does the Methodism advance in number and does he win in influence ? This work leans over dynamics in work in the processes of conversion, but also over strategies worked out both by the missionaries and by their interlocutors. Productive misunderstanding in permanent negotiations, the Methodism earns supporters and is obvious to a minority as a credible religious alternative.
