The funds of the Library of Africain researches built on a multidisciplinary base, from 1962, to the Sorbonne. The different elements of the Library were mainly formed and developed at the instigation of Africain independence and became rich in contact with the activities of educations and of researches led since.

All the collections of the Library of Africain researches, represent more than 25000 works on 1000 linear metres of shelving (of which an important collection of ancient and rare works), 900 titles of periodicals among which ongoing 104, more than 2000 jobs of students (theses and memo), of grey literature (unpublished symposiums, reports), Funds of archives, notably those of the professors Raymond Mauny and Yves Person, cards.
