This plan registers in a paradoxical scientific context :Our purpose is therefore to raise an incarnate sociology of the defence of Africain reasons, which treats the strengthening of a space of international intervening period relating to Africa, hierarchies in its breast, and on the fields of these various struggles. They will lead an investigation envisaging at the same time the Africain mobilisations registering somehow in the altermondialisme, that a series of specific reasons (human rights, humanitarian, struggle against the AIDS, themes of repairs...) who have characteristics very to in mobilisations in universal vocation, and moreover to register in an international arena of expertise. This inquiry will fan out in 7 States (Cameroon, Kenya, Mali, Southern Africa, Burkina Faso, Sudan, RDC) among which militant areas and history mark various degrees of extroversion. A collective investigation will be led to the next worldwide Social Forum of Nairobi in January, 2007 to understand the insertion of FSA in FSM, and the sponsorship of Africain reasons within the international altermondialisme. A specific job will be led on the militant trajectories and the grammars of the Africain altermondialisme. By research ethnographic and based on discussions, local manners and international brokerage of reasons with universal vocation will be studied. A job prosopographique (collective biographies) will be led, thanks to a massive appeal to discussions (n> =400) and at job on other biographical sources when these last are available, allowing the study of militant, expert careers, and professional of those who promote them these reasons.
This inquiry will occasion an opening up in several titles : between the national and the international, between the study of social movements and of NGO, enters reasons too often studied in a monographic way. She is in the intersection of a political sociology of mobilisations, international relations and of africanisme ; on the border of the sociology of protest, groups of interest and of the sociology of the access to the State in Africa. She intends to contribute to an inscription of studies africanists in political sciences and sociology, and to answer routinisation some, or even a shortness of breath, of the sociology of mobilisations. It will give the occasion to test on another continent, in international complex anchoring, strong hypotheses moved forward by Y. Dezalay and B. Garth in their work. It will lead to the biggest inquiry by collective biographies never accomplished on the Africain continent, in an ethnography of FSM, and more generally, to raise a cartography of the national anti-authority areas and of the defence of reasons to include the unequal degree of extroversion of these areas and of the actors in their breast.
