The Master of anthropology makes integral part of the doctoral School « Areas, cultures and societies » located at Home Mediterranean of Sciences of the Man (MMSH) of Aix-en-Provence. As regards Africain studies, he fans out in 2 main specialities :

 Master Research : Social and cultural Anthropology (1st and 2nd years) with 7 courses among which 1 course "Africa" .

 Professional Master : Anthropology and jobs of the sustainable development (1st and 2nd years) with a dominant feature Africa.

The pedagogic team of the master of anthropology of Aix-en-Provence puts down for principle which research satisfies in the same requirements of scientificité, that it is fundamental or applied.
