The professional speciality Anthropology and jobs of the sustainable development of the Master of anthropology is run by JACKY BOUJU (MCF-HDR). This training in the anthropology of the sustainable development is specific in terms, of target public, possible markets and means subject to mobilisation and does not have equivalent in France.
Profile of graduate forming in two years by this master is that of a skilled professional who will have acquired a pointed expertise in one of the various domains of urban or rural development, of social development or of health in south countries.
This expertise leans on the anthropology of development which is one today of the rare scientific disciplines capable of discovering, analysing and favouring the conditions of possibility for a lasting taking over, by the local populations, of facilities set up and of objectives followed by the programmes of development.
This training answers a request. The emergence of new professional practices in the sector of the sustainable development of south countries and in this context is determined, anthropological approach - in terms of social, economic or political anthropology of development - appears as a more and more obvious necessity to a number growing by actors of ground. Moreover, in the North as in the South, the job in the sector of development in general tends to contractualiser more and more and real professional functions return in very various "posts" : expert, technical helper responsible for programme, charged with studies, representative, project manager of development, seeing patients, etc.
The persons called to occupy these posts are of trainings and various origins and often have to invent their "on-the-job" job , according to their competences enriched and diversified by their experience of the ground. But they can also enrich him with opportunities of training which allow them to refine their profile while validating acquired experience. The objective of this training in "anthropology and jobs of the sustainable development" is to meet needs in new competences for which ask professional skills provoked by the installation of policies and of programmes of development in south countries.
