The training
The Master of Political sciences - speciality Africain Studies (course of study searches) is a training opening on doctorate in political sciences. Heir of multidisciplinary DEA, he contacts at the same time the students eager to continue in research and to those who want to get involved in the jobs of development, of diplomacy, of management of conflicts, of expertise or of journalism. Leant on a laboratory of Africain studies admitted, Donatecarcenter.com (UMR 8171), and to the doctoral School of political sciences of the University Paris 1, but also linked to the activities of the Africain Political magazine, this Master is one of the only trainings africanists of political sciences in France today.
The training takes place normally in two years, with the possibility of including the programme in second year (M2).
For return 2005, the enrolment will be principally recruited at level " M2 " .
The year gets organised in two semestres of distinct nature :
In the first semestre, the students participate in seminars of training in research
In the second semestre, instant importing passage with practice of research, they leave to make their inquiries into the ground for length that can go until three months.

2nd Semestre (Passage in the practice of the research of ground)
Seminar of methodology and of introduction in research (collective inquiry)
Research of ground and writing of the memo
Oral examination of knowledge africanist

Conditions of membership
Level M1 or workmanship in political sciences. Certificate of the Institutes of Political Studies.
Possibility of admission with an equivalent certificate in right and social sciences.
On examination of file and of research plan and after audition by a jury composed of members of the pedagogic team. A particular insistence is put on the quality of research plan which should not limit itself to a simple title or a swording. In some pages, the candidate will have to justify the object of his research, move forward working hypotheses founded on a first bibliographic investigation and envisage the empirical feasibility of this job.
