Presentation of research axles
Our common scientific objectives concern the whole Africain continent and are organised around four axles, declined in topics which often articulate several disciplines with definite objectives. Every topic forms teams around collective plans, around research seminars admitted in the trainings of Masters, regional or thematic workshops. Some topics can also represent strong points of the activities of individual researches. Research axles are the following :
Epistémologie and knowledges. Systems of thought and modes of representation : this research axle is dedicated to the epistemology of Africain studies, to the building and to the invention of Africa and of stereotypes which were linked to its Western representation, but also, to the study of the systems of thought in force in the Africain societies.
Faces of powers and buildings of policy (VIIITH - XXITH s.) : this reflexion on long length takes into account political entities and their reconstructions, since the installation of precolonial local powers up to its transmission in the independent countries.
Rituals, worship and transformations of the monk : the study of religious fact in Africa puts in the centre of attention transformations of the monk in time and in space and properties of the ritual act, whatever is the context of its accomplishment.
Heritages, environment and material cultures : the study of the buildings of heritages carries on stakes around relations societies / nature (knowledges and know-how, biodiversity, land and territorial devices).
