Research course
After a double training in history and in history of art, Claire Bosc-Tiessé supported a thesis of history of art in Paris-I in December, 2001 under title Art, Church and kingship in Ethiopia in the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries : writing of history and "plant" of pictures in the churches of the lake Tana (to appear to the Publications of the Sorbonne under title The Art of power. Pictures, history and policy in the kingdom of Éthiopie (XVIIth - XVIIIth centuries).
She joined in October, 2002 the ex-institute of Africain Studies in Aix-en-Provence where she follows her researches on the history of the book and of the picture and on networks of power and of knowledge in Éthiopie, mainly in the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries.
