Course "AFRICA" of the Master searches in anthropology
Description
The pedagogic team gives a training to the students in theoretical reflexion on concepts, methods, debates épistémologiques at the same time as the occasion to exercise their aptitude in search of ground, specific feature of anthropological discipline. The pedagogic team gives to the students a constituted lesson planning :
- fundamental lessons on the objects of anthropology
- of lessons specialised by topics and cultural aeries
- of research seminars of laboratory
- methodological supports to the definition of research problems
- individualised supervision of research works
- of conferences and conferences
The choice of course is made from the outset in 1st Master year. The choice of the head of research can be performed until December. Any delay is detrimental in the smooth running of the job of preparation of the memo of 1st year. The student will be able to be in principle monitoring of a way individualised by the same head of research during two years of master. Although the student chooses his course of master, it is recommended to visit courts and especially seminars of the search parties which enliven other courses. However, it will validate exclusively the job accomplished as part of the seminar of its course.
Every year has an organisation and pursues clean pedagogic aims but the master comes as a complete and consistent training. Every student thinks he is progressively confronted with numerous tasks and requirements of research. The realisation in two years of a research plan is privileged expression.
The first year is constituted compulsory and optional lessons giving rise to many controls of knowledge. It implicates an important bibliographic job to rise at the level of knowledge demanded in master and to follow progress by it. The getting of the certificate passes by preparation, writing and viva of a bibliographic theoretical memo on a research topic chosen by the student with approval and conducted by a head of research to choose exclusively in the list of the heads of research authorised for the ongoing academic year (cf picture of the managers supra).
The second year is principally dedicated to the inquiry of ground and to the realisation of research plan. She ends with the public writing and the viva of the research report. The students who will support their research report and will have got all their valuation of research seminars (as well as the modules of adaptation for the students entered in master 2 by equivalence or infringement) in June session with an average of mention "Very well " , will be able to candidater in a research grant in doctoral dissertation of anthropology.
