MICHEL CARTRY
We have the big sadness of announcement of the decease of our colleague Michel CARTRY.
Manager of Studies in EPHE and protecting face of the Laboratory "Systems of Thought in Black Africa", that he ran from 1974 till 1990, he went out 18 aôut on 2008 in Paris.
He will be buried aôut on Monday, 25 in the graveyard of the father Lachaise, at 16 h 15.
MOUSTAPHA SANOGO
Our colleague Moustapha Sanogo, researcher linked to Donatecarcenter.com died on January 9th, 2008 in Yopougon.
Mr Sanogo was teacher-researcher in the Institute of History, of Art and of Africain Archaeology of the University of Abidjan Cocody. Having entered in the laboratory Systems of Thought in Black Africa in 1982, he always contributed in an extremely fecund way to researches which were developed by its many jobs on Worodugu of Ivory Coast there. He notably became attached to the study of the initiatory society of the koma. It is in this society that was dedicated its thesis led conducted by Michel Cartry : The system of age groups and the organisation of rituals in the initiatory society of the koma (worodougou country, region of Séguéla, Ivory Coast (EPHE, on 1998).
