Presentation
The worldwide social Forum (FSM) of Nairobi, first of type in Africa, constituted a tremendous ground of observation of the dynamics of the Africain transnational political activism. Object of plan " Africain Reasons " , the Africain political activism and their report in extroversion were in the middle of the investigations of a search party constituted by 23 Frenchmen and by 12 Kenyans who led a collective ethnographic observation in more than 100 workshops of FSM, to what was added about 150 discussions to Africain activists to the forum. This inquiry aimed at thinking about the emergence of an Africain altermondialisme, represented between others by the Africain social Forum, but also in the multiplicity of Africain transnationalisés networks, and in tensions between these last, as well as in complex relation which they maintain regarding the activists of the North or of other South. The inquiry also set out to study the reports which maintain these transnational networks with the local and national militant areas. Objective was finally to think about use and about resurgence of themes afrocentriques, anti-imperialist and anticolonial.
To notice the worldwide social Forum in Nairobi from the point of view of the South - especially of Africa - and of its participation, it was therefore a means to exceed the foibles of a sociology of transnational social movements which, even today, remains predominantly centered on the society of the north, in spite of some exceptions. To an altermondialiste space who just tries to eclipse them, contributions will take up that it is necessary to think of hierarchies, of conflicts, or even simply of the division of labour within the transnational political activism. They will pay attention to social status and material of the political activism, as well as to conflicts around the catch of word on Africa.
